Nuts 'n Bolts Bonspiel- January 11th 2025!
Probably one of the most anticipated Bonspiels of the year!
The Nuts 'n Bolts Bonspiel is annually hosted by Andrea and Rob Town. Their unique format involves teams made up of 12 Skips who randomly choose a unique bolt.
Vices then pick a nut out of a bin and proceed to match it with the bolt. This continues for Seconds and Leads until 12 teams are chosen.
The day will start at 9am with check-in, coffee, tea and sweets and team picking at 9:30.
2 4-end games, then into the lobby for a mini Euchre tournament and pizza lunch. Euchre scores are added to curling scores.
Following are 2 more 4-end games, then drinks, snacks and prizes to wrap up the day.
If you would like to donate to the prize table, please contact Andrea: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Registration is for OCC Members only and due to its popularity, will be on a first come first served basis with waiting room.
Cost is $50 per person.

New for the 2024-25 season is the "Mini" Player's Card.
For just $120, New Curlers have the opportunity to "test the waters". A small cost to give you a good idea about the game, the club, and your enjoyment level. The Mini Players Card offers all the benefits, and restrictions of a regular Players Card, except limiting the users to 5 Tag Draws or Sparing in a league.
The Player's Cards are another offering focused on shift workers, with unpredictable schedules due to life, holidays, or uncertainty to commit to a membership.
By purchasing a Player's Card for $215 (Regular Card) or $120 (Mini Card), people can play up to 11 or 5 times. Player's Cards can be used to play in 'Tag draw' leagues or to spare in 'set-team' leagues during the current curling season. Each time a person plays in a Tag league or spares in a 'set teams' league, the card MUST be presented to the Convenor or Skip for validation. Keep your card handy and DON'T lose it, as replacements will not be issued.
Once used up, a new card would be required to play any further games. Cards can be purchased at any time through the season but are NOT able to be carried over from one season to the next.
Notes: Only the player named on the card is able to use it. The Card expires at the end of the curling season and any unused games will not carry over. The card will not be refunded once purchased and unused tokens are not refundable except if the card holder is purchasing a regular membership within the same curling season.
The Orillia Curling Club would like to spotlight Ron Jacques and The Brick as our March Sponsor of the Month.
