As they often say; one of the easiest sports to learn and play, but difficult to master. It is a fun, social and courteous game. Most of the leagues (especially the seniors) play for fun and exercise. There are also more competitive leagues, but even those are "friendly". Our more experienced players will provide advice and answer your questions so that you will find yourself quickly fitting in.

Yes it is a sport on ice but our new members often tell us that with the right equipment it is not as slippery as it looks. There are special shoes that let you slide when delivering a rock but when walking on the ice a slip-on gripper covers the slider which helps to grip the ice surface.

We encourage our members to purchase the proper shoes, gloves and helmet. This is not a big expense to start.

We have many members on fixed incomes and many that are not. If you check out the rates you will find that we have many options. Of course the full membership gives you the best value and flexibility, but you may want to start with a limited membership, playing once a week or with unlimited play for half a season, or another of the many options available to our members. Select "Join Us - Membership Fees" in the top menu for the rates. Then check out other local clubs. We believe that our rates are less expensive than you may have thought, VERY competitive and flexible.
