President-
- Serves as chief volunteer officer and primary club spokesperson.
- Sets agendas and chairs Board/AGM meetings; shepherds governance work and annual priorities.
- Ensures effective collaboration between Directors, committees, and any staff or contractors.
- Signs official documents and ensures legal/insurance compliance.
- Leads succession planning and recruits future leaders.
- Primary contact with city/township and community groups; aligns on facility matters and joint events.
Vice-President-
- Acts for the President when required; supports executive decision-making.
- Generally an existing Board member who is nominated into this role.
Secretary-
- Records minutes for Board/AGM; maintains corporate records and policies.
- Issues required notices (AGM, special meetings); manages Board elections paperwork.
- Oversees filing obligations (e.g., corporate registry, insurance certificates).
Treasurer-
- Acts for the President or Vice President when required; supports executive decision-making.
- Responsible for budgeting, bookkeeping (Quickbooks), financial reporting, internal controls and banking.
- Prepares annual budget for board discussion and approval.
- Prepares and presents monthly financial statements to the board.
- Submits year end financial information to the accouting firm for prepartion of annual financial statements and Non-Profit Information Return.
- Ensures proper handing of revenues and payables including HST remittances.
- Applies for licenses for 50/50 draws as required and files reports with the City following each draw to ensure compliance with Ontario Lottery & Gaming rules.
Registrar-
- Creates Member accounts in the website
- Maintains member directory
- Distributes and maintains Player's card program
- Orders name tags for new members
- Fields member questions and concerns re: membership and web account
- Assists Membership & Treasurer as required
Membership-
- Manages member questions, membership categories, and fee recommendations
- Leads recruitment and retention initiatives
- Coordinates welcome/orientation communications with Communications
- Assists Registrar as required
Communications-
- Manages member comms (newsletter, email) and public comms (website, social).
- Maintains brand standards; promotes programs, sets club calendar of leagues and events, maintains social media
- Coordinates sponsor recognition (ice ads, wall boards, table stickers) with Sponsorship.
Fundraising-
- Owns sponsor strategy (packages, renewals, stewardship) and ad inventory.
- Drives fundraising campaigns and pursues grants with Treasurer/President.
- Tracks benefits delivery and recognition across channels and in-house signage.
Head Coach-
- Designs youth/LTC curricula and schedules; recruits/coordinates qualified instructors.
- Ensures screening/waivers and Safe Sport steps for youth programs.
- Runs member development clinics with Curling Ops.
Draw Master-
- Chairs a convenors’ committee; assists with each league convenor(s).
- Sets and maintains league rules (play, spares, playoffs, etc).
- Launches/adjusts/assists with creating leagues schedules, teams and score sheets
Past President-
- Provides continuity and mentorship; supports President and Board onboarding.
Committees:
Events-
- Create and manage events as required such as Euchre tournaments.
- Manage Bonspiels and other on ice events
- Manage and promote extraciricular events such as off site/off season events
