This long weekend, the Orillia Curling Club hosted their beginning 'Learn to Curl' program, as well as reglar practice ice for all members.

Both Saturday and Sunday, the rink was packed with curlers who were refreshing their skills for the season, throwing some rocks to get a feel for the ice, and curlers who had never curled before, who were getting lessons on how to curl and how the game is played. 

The club was excited to see so many curlers out and looks forward to a very successful season. 

A reminder for the upcoming season:

- Try to limit hand prints and kneeling on the ice

- Only take sealable drinking containers on the rink to prevent spills

- Checking, cleaning or replacing grippers or broom to help keep ice and hacks clean
